Our Mission
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can accumulate in homes and buildings. It is invisible and odorless, which means testing is the only way to know a property radon level. According to the EPA, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States.
EraseRadon exists to simplify radon awareness and action for property owners throughout Atlanta and Metro Atlanta. From initial testing through mitigation coordination and post-service verification, services are designed to guide, coordinate, document, and verify.

Our Approach
Radon work is a process, not a single event. Every project starts with accurate measurement and ends with verification. Here is how a typical engagement moves from initial contact to documented results.
Initial Assessment
We review the property type, foundation (basement, crawl space, slab-on-grade), age, HVAC configuration, and any prior test data. Every home interacts with soil gas differently, so the assessment determines which testing approach and potential mitigation designs are appropriate.
Radon Testing
We deploy short-term continuous radon monitors or passive devices, following EPA and AARST measurement protocols. Devices are placed in the lowest livable level under closed-building conditions. For real estate timelines, continuous monitors produce hour-by-hour data in 48 to 96 hours. For long-term baseline assessments, we use extended deployments to capture seasonal variation.
Results and Recommendations
We deliver a clear report showing the measured concentration in picocuries per liter (pCi/L), the testing window, and device details. If the result is at or above 4.0 pCi/L, mitigation is recommended. Between 2.0 and 4.0 pCi/L, the EPA suggests considering mitigation. We explain what the numbers mean without pressure, so you can make an informed decision.
Mitigation System Design
Most Georgia homes use active sub-slab depressurization (ASD). We evaluate suction point location, pipe routing (interior vs. exterior), fan sizing, and discharge placement to meet AARST/ANSI design standards. Crawl space homes may require sub-membrane depressurization with a sealed vapor barrier. The design balances performance, aesthetics, and noise.
Installation
Installation typically takes one day. We core the slab, install the suction pipe and fan, seal entry points, add a system monitor (manometer), and label the system per AARST/ANSI requirements. We take care to route pipe cleanly and minimize visual and acoustic impact.
Post-Mitigation Verification
After the system runs for at least 24 hours, we conduct a post-mitigation test to confirm radon has been reduced below 4.0 pCi/L (and ideally as low as reasonably achievable). We provide documentation suitable for real estate closings, insurance records, and future reference.

EPA Guidelines
We follow the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recommendations on radon action levels (4.0 pCi/L), testing conditions, and when to mitigate. EPA resources including the Citizen Guide to Radon and the Home Buyer and Seller Guide inform how we communicate with clients.
AARST Protocols
The American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists publishes the consensus protocols used across the industry. We follow AARST measurement protocols for single-family and multifamily testing and AARST mitigation standards for system design and installation.
ANSI Consensus Standards
The AARST standards are accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). We design mitigation systems to meet ANSI/AARST SGM-SF for single-family homes, including requirements for pipe sizing, fan placement, labeling, and system monitoring.
Insurance and Documentation
We carry liability insurance and provide written documentation for every engagement. When choosing any radon company, the EPA recommends looking for NRPP or NRSB certification, proof of insurance, and clear written agreements.
